New! - Update Form
Open Leads has introduced a New "type" of Form called an Update Form.
This new form has the intelligence to "update" an existing lead.
Update Forms
These forms UPDATE a lead either by working through an Autoresponder from a normal form (Primary Form) or by sending a Message through an Email which contains a Token triggering the Update Form.
The Process
(Using Primary and Update forms together)
Stage 1: Standard form (now called Primary Form) creates a lead, same way it always has done.
Stage 2: An autoresponder is triggered which carries all the lead information through a "Token" (this is new). You can also send an email message to an existing lead or leads which has an embedded Token to the Update Form as well.
Stage 3: Clicking on that Token in the Autoresponder or Message Email, takes the visitor to another form (Update Form)
Stage 4: The visitor adds new information to the original leads by answering questions and completing the form. All the original lead information can be presented or left off of the form (no worries Open Leads remembers it) leaving only relevant form fields.
Stage 5: Upon Form Submission all the new data "UPDATES" the original lead. And an "update notice" is either texted or emailed to the assigned Users. A Workflow handles all the heavy lifting about what Types are assigned, which Users get notified, what new Tasks are assigned, etc.
