A normal leads report shows your pipeline as it is right now. Two newer data sources show how it got there: Pipeline movement counts every change of status, and Pipeline over time shows how the pipeline stood on past days.

Pipeline movement
Since Reporting started, Open Leads records every new lead and every status change: which lead, the old status, the new status, who changed it and when. Status changes already in your activity log from before were copied in when the feature started; where the earlier status was not known, the old status shows as (Before tracking).
| Number | Means |
|---|---|
| Changes | Status changes and new leads. |
| Leads changed | Different leads that changed. |
| Moved to won, Moved to lost | Changes into a won or lost status. |
| Value won | The value of leads moved to a won status, on the day they moved (using the lead’s current value). |
| New leads | Leads added. |
- Break down by Changed from status and Changed to status to see your real funnel flow: the Status movement library report draws it as a heat map.
- Break down by What changed to separate new leads from status changes, by User to see who moves leads, or by the lead’s source or form.
- Wins by month counts the month a lead was moved to won, which is more accurate than counting won leads by the month they were created.
Pipeline over time
Every night, shortly after midnight, Open Leads records how many leads, and how much value and weighted value, sit in each status of every account. Pipeline over time reads those snapshots, so you can see your pipeline on any past day since tracking started.
- Each day, week or month shows the pipeline as it stood at its end. Numbers are not added up across dates: the week’s figure is the pipeline at the end of that week.
- Break down by Status or Open / Won / Lost.
- The snapshot counts every lead in the account, so it is only shown to admins and people who can see every lead.
- History starts the night tracking started. Earlier dates have no snapshot and cannot be rebuilt.
Use Pipeline over time with Open / Won / Lost by week to see whether your open pipeline is growing or shrinking, and Status movement to see where leads leave it.
