Chart types
| Chart | Best for |
|---|---|
| Automatic | Lets Open Leads choose (see below). |
| Columns, Bars | Comparing rows. Bars suit long names, such as sources or people. |
| Line, Area | Trends over time. |
| Pie, Donut | Shares of a whole, with a handful of rows. |
| Stacked columns, Stacked bars | Two breakdowns, such as each month split by source. |
| Funnel | Pipeline stages in order. |
| Treemap | Many rows of very different sizes. |
| Heat map | Two breakdowns where the pattern matters, such as day of week by hour, or old status by new status. |
| Table only | No chart: just the summary cards and the table. |
Automatic chooses a line for a date breakdown (an area for Pipeline over time), columns for day of week or hour of day, stacked columns for a date plus a second breakdown, stacked bars for two other breakdowns, a donut for six rows or fewer, and bars otherwise. With no breakdown there is nothing to chart, so only the table shows.
The chart draws one number at a time. Use the menu at the top right of the chart to switch to another of your numbers.
Sorting
Automatic sorting puts dates in date order, keeps fixed orders (such as statuses in your pipeline order, days Sunday to Saturday, and age bands from newest to oldest), and otherwise puts the biggest value of your first number at the top. Choose any breakdown or number to sort by instead, high to low or low to high. You can also click a column heading in the table to sort by it.
Row limit and the Other row
Choose to show the top 10, 25, 50, 100 or 500 rows, or every row. When there are more, the rows past the limit are added together into one Other row, so the totals stay complete. A note under the table says how many rows were folded in.
- Untick Group the rest as “Other” to leave them out entirely instead. The totals still include them.
- A report broken down only by a date is never cut short: every day, week or month is shown.
- The Other row cannot be clicked to list leads, because it is made of many rows.
Options
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Include archived leads | Off by default, so reports match the leads you work with. Tick it to count archived leads too. Applies to every data source that counts leads. |
| Group the rest as “Other” | Adds the rows past your row limit into one Other row. |
| Show rows of all zeros | Keeps rows where every number is zero, such as days with no leads. Useful for charts over time, so quiet days show as a dip rather than disappearing. |
| A lead is idle after … days with no touch | The number of days the idle-lead numbers use. Anything from 1 to 3,650 days; 30 unless you change it. Shown for Leads & pipeline reports. |
Every one of these settings is saved with the report.
