Reporting Guide Data Source
The first choice in Customize this report is What to report on. It decides what kind of record the report counts, and so which breakdowns, numbers and dates are available. Changing it resets the breakdowns and numbers to sensible ones for the new source.

The first choice in Customize this report is What to report on. It decides what kind of record the report counts, and so which breakdowns, numbers and dates are available. Changing it resets the breakdowns and numbers to sensible ones for the new source.
Step 1 in the builder is the row of data sources at the top.
Leads & pipeline
One row per lead. This is the most flexible source: break leads down by source, form, status, opportunity, stage, type, assigned user, location, custom fields, marketing channel and more.
- Numbers: Leads, % of leads, pipeline value, weighted value, average value, leads with a value, open, won and lost (with their values), win rate, conversion rate, leads with email or phone, and the idle-lead numbers.
- Good to know: Deleted leads never count. Archived leads only count if you tick Include archived leads. Won and lost come from your pipeline statuses: a lead is won if its status is marked as a won status in your Lead Status/Pipeline settings, lost if its status is marked lost, and open otherwise.
Team activity
One row per piece of activity logged on a lead: emails sent and received, calls, texts, visits, notes and status changes.
- Numbers: All activity, outreach, emails sent, emails received, calls, texts, visits, notes, status changes and leads worked.
- Good to know: Emails sent counts emails that were actually sent. Each kind of activity is counted from where Open Leads keeps it (emails and notes from the lead’s history, calls, texts, visits and status changes from its activity log).
Tasks
One row per task. Each task is counted against the person it is assigned to.
- Numbers: Tasks, completed, open, overdue, completed on time, completion rate, on-time rate and average hours to complete.
- Good to know: Tasks created by workflows are left out, so the numbers reflect work people set for themselves and each other. If you can only see your own leads, you only see your own tasks.
Speed to lead
One row per new lead, with how long it waited for its first contact.
- Numbers: New leads, contacted, never contacted, % contacted, average hours to first contact, contacted within 5 minutes, 1 hour and 24 hours, and the matching percentages.
- Good to know: The first contact is the earliest outgoing email that was sent, or the earliest call, text or visit logged by a user. With All time chosen, only leads from the last 12 months are included.
Pipeline movement (New)
One row per change: a new lead being added, or a lead’s status changing.
- Numbers: Changes, leads changed, moved to won, moved to lost, value won and new leads.
- Good to know: Built from the status history Open Leads started recording with Reporting. Older status changes that were already in your activity log were copied in when the feature started.
Forms
Your hosted web forms: how often they are viewed and how many leads they bring in.
- Numbers: Views, unique visitors, submissions (new leads), conversion rate, pipeline value and wins.
- Good to know: Views are new tracking and fill up from the day it started. Submissions are leads whose source is Form. Form views are only shown to admins and people who can see every lead.
Email campaigns
Your mass email campaigns.
- Numbers: Campaigns, recipients, sent, delivered, bounced, opened, clicked, and delivery, open, click, click-to-open and bounce rates.
- Good to know: Campaign numbers are counted per campaign, so they cannot be clicked to list leads. People who can only see their own leads see only their own campaigns.
Team usage
How your team uses Open Leads: sign-ins, page views and the sections people visit.
- Numbers: Page views, sign-ins, account switches, active days and active users.
- Good to know: Views made by support staff signed in as one of your users are left out. People who can only see their own leads see only their own usage.
Pipeline over time (New)
A snapshot of your pipeline taken every night: how many leads, and how much value, sat in each status.
- Numbers: Leads, pipeline value and weighted value.
- Good to know: Each date shows the pipeline as it stood at the end of that day, week or month, so the numbers are not added up across dates. Shown only to admins and people who can see every lead.
Not sure which to pick? Most questions about leads (how many, from where, what they are worth, whether they closed) start from Leads & pipeline. Questions about what people did start from Team activity or Tasks.
